Recalls and Recipes

June 22, 2007

In light of a recent recall of another brand of Soy Yogurt, we feel it is important to let you know that Wildwood Soyogurt is NOT produced on equipment shared with dairy. We own and operate our own non-dairy facility. We are the only brand of Soy Yogurt that is not manufactured using shared dairy equipment.

Recipes! We've updated our recipe section with links to more tofu recipes - we're especially fond of the PostPunkKitchen.com.

Take care,
Aaron @ Wildwood

Where are your soybeans grown?

That's a question we are frequently asked, and we're proud of our answer: We use exclusively 100% US Grown Soybeans. It is our corporate policy to only purchase beans that were grown in the United States – all beans must be Non-GMO, and all beans in our Organic products must be Organic in addition to Non-GMO. This makes sense for several reasons:

1) We support our local farmers. By buying Wildwood you help us in this endeavor.

2) Buying local saves energy. Many other natural food companies import their soybeans from countries like China and Brazil, so much more fuel is used to create the end product.

3) Closer connection to the source ensures greater food safety and organic compliance. We have very close ties to farmers who grow our soybeans. All our organic farms are certified organic by local US based certifiers.

So where are the beans actually grown? Most Wildwood Beans are grown in the Midwestern States of Iowa, Minnesota and Illinois.

Did you know that Wildwood Soyogurt & Soyogurt Smoothies are made just 4 miles from where the soybeans are grown?
